Built at the end of the 17th century, the fortifications were part of the defensive ring on the Majorcan coast against frequent pirate attacks. • Palma: There is a lot to discover on a day trip to the capital of the Balearic Islands. Among the main attractions are without question the Cathedral of Saint Mary, built in 1230 after the expulsion of the Moors. Also, the adjacent Alcazar of Mallorca and the Llotja de Palma, the old commercial school, you can not miss. From the Castillo de Bellver you have a magnificent view over the city and the harbour.
