After landing you have several options to get from the airport to Cala Millor. If you have booked a rental car, you can pick it up at the airport and reach your villa to rent in about an hour. A taxi that covers the route at the same time costs between 60 and 80 euros, depending on the time of day. A cheaper alternative is the public transport network on the island. The A42 bus line starts at the airport and reaches Cala Millor in two hours for a price of 12 euros. If you choose the airport bus, you will find the current timetables in English. The ports of Palma and Alcúdia are frequented several times a day by various ferries from Barcelona, Valencia and southern France. The Majorcan weather lures many all year round with plenty of sun and little rain. Water sports enthusiasts and bathers feel most comfortable in the summer months, when the island enchants with 11 hours of sunshine and temperatures up to 35 degrees. As there is also the greatest demand during this period, the prices increase significantly in the months of June to August and we recommend that you book your accommodation as early as possible. September is a great time to visit and book a beach apartment as there are fewer tourists on the island and the air and water temperatures are close to those of the summer months. At the falling price level in spring and autumn, the temperatures of these seasons attract many athletes and sports enthusiasts year after year to the largest of the Balearic islands. Cala Millor is an excellent starting point for day trips and hikes. If you want to experience an authentic Mallorca, we recommend you to visit the island in winter.
